Q: I have Cobra through a job I had in Michigan, I have moved to another state and although my current job offers insurance, I want to continue my Cobra. Can I add some of the benefits I original refused to my plan. Like dental and eye. They where offered but I declined them and only took health.  I have changed my mind now and want to add them, can I do this?

A: If your 60 day election period has expired, you will not be able to add the dental and vision coverage until your previous employer’s open enrollment time. You should contact your previous employer’s benefits manager for specific details.
