Q: How long of a time frame do I have to give notice of a qualifying event to my administrator?
A:As an employer you are allowed up to 30 days from the qualifying event to notify the administrator. The plan administrator has only 14 days from when they have received the information from the employer to notify the beneficiaries of their rights to elect COBRA.
