.Q:  Hi, I recently got new insurance through a new employer, so I canceled my COBRA through my old work. It turns out that my new insurance is not as good and what I had through COBRA. Is there anyway that I can get my old COBRA coverage back. I only canceled it 13 day ago.

A:  Once you have stopped making payment to your COBRA account you have lost all rights legally to continue with the past employers group plan. You may have a grace period of payment. You will want to contact your COBRA Administrator to verify grace period dates. The administrator is in charge of your account and is hired by the past employer. They will have all the answers to your payment questions.
