Q: If I quit my current position and continue my insurance coverage, including maternity, through cobra, can I get on the basic coverage and does this include maternity coverage. I am currently pregnant. Thank you, Heather

A: COBRA is a federal law, which allows you to continue on the employer’s group health plan. It does not matter if you quit, or were "let go".  When you elect COBRA coverage, it will be a continuation of the same group health plan that you were on the day before you quit. If your pregnancy was covered then, it will be with the COBRA election.
