Q: I refilled my meds today for the first time since I went on COBRA. my pharmacy told me that I had to pay cash and then get reimbursed. It cost $920.!!! So, I need to file a claim ASAP.
A: Since COBRA is not an insurance company; it is a Federal Law, you would have to get your claims information/forms from the actual insurance company that you are currently under. Your COBRA coverage should be a continuation of the exact same insurance that you had with your past employer. Your previous employer should also be able to assist you in filing the claim once the COBRA paperwork has been processed.
