Q:  I have met my deductible and out of pocket maxims for the year. Will this start over, and have to be paid again under COBRA?

A:  Generally, COBRA is a continuation of the same group health insurance that you had the day before the qualifying event. You should have the same deductibles as a similarly situated active employee. All of your accumulated amounts towards your deductible and other out of pocket expenses should continue as though the qualifying event had not occurred.

If you are a healthy person who does not live in NY, NJ, MA, or VT and would be interested in a lower cost Alternative to COBRA please Click Here  With this policy you have the ability to choose your deductible: $250, $500, $1000 or $2500.
