Q:   If I elect to have COBRA afte receiving the initial notice, can I cancel the coverage at any time?

A:  You have the right cancel your COBRA coverage at any time you want.  You will need to notify your previous employer or the plan administrator in writing that you wish to cancel.  After your insurance has been canceled or terminated the employer should send you a letter notifying you of your cancellation or termination of your COBRA. You should then receive a certificate of creditable coverage for the time you were using COBRA.
