Q:  Is my COBRA coverage still valid?  If so do I still have emergency medical coverage WHEREVER I am traveling on the planet? Do you know at this time when my COBRA will expire?

A:  You can contact your insurance company by the phone number on the back of your ID card.  They will be able to tell you if your COBRA coverage is still active.  They will also be able to give you benefit and coverage information. Your previous employer can also tell you the status of your COBRA coverage, they also must provide you with a Summary of Plan Descriptions that details your benefits.  Your previous employer or their plan administrator will know when your COBRA expires.

If you have lost your opportunity for insurance with your past employer and are looking for a short term medical policy you may qualify for an Alternative policy. Click Here for more information.
