Q:  My husband has not received any COBRA forms to fill out since he was laid off. I have called TX and inquired from corporate and was told "we haven't forgotten about you" our regular insurance coverage ended 11-31-07, when will get our forms?

A:  Your husband’s employer or their plan administrator has up to 45 days to mail you the COBRA election forms from your last day of group benefits.  Then you have 60 days to elect COBRA. COBRA continuation coverage is retro-active so there won’t be any days that you are without insurance. You will be reimbursed for any prescriptions or other medical bills that you paid out of pocket once the COBRA paperwork has been completed.
