Q:  I work in sales and do to my production in 2007 I will no longer be eligible for benefits going into 2008. Am I eligible for cobra insurance? My wife is 7 months pregnant and I have no idea what to do.

A:   COBRA is a federal law that allows you to continue your group health insurance when an event occurs that causes you to lose your group benefits. If your employer has more than 20 employees they must offer you COBRA. If your employer has less than 20 employees, you should contact the www.naic.com to see if your state offers a mini-COBRA.
